Very good. I will be checking the rest of the series. I like the picture of a cut finger healed on one end of the continuum and arm growing back on the other.

BTW I liked the way you had the people declare healing over each other and then give testimony…beautiful, I could sense the Holy Spirit hoovering over all of you.

Thank you for posting this,and yes experience may not always be the best teacher.I always learn new and insightful things about myself thru The Holy Spirit. I receive good counsel through my pastor. And of course from Pastor Doug. May he increase you in wisdom !

“Seek the Giver, not the gift” sounds nice and spiritual and humble, but it is not what Scripture says. We are encouraged to seek both the Giver and the gifts.

Someone on FB commented about this. My response:

If you think, that’s the difference between Mary and Martha – Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, Martha made sandwiches that Jesus didn’t ask for. Too often the Marthas of the church try to justify their necessity, but how many things are churches doing, that Jesus didn’t ask them to do, either?

What words of grace to a pair so often detested in Christianity. Who knows? We may walk with them and rehease the whole incident in heaven. Truth be known, many people have done things just as ungodly or worse and lived, but they’re lives were left as a warning….. Very interesting, grace-filled perspective, brother!

Sounds like something Heidi Baker said a while back…we’re so spiritually impoverished here in the West because no matter how much we try to be poor in spirit, we have a built in mentality of self-sufficiency. I’m trying to stay hungry for him but it’s hard in a culture that minimises our need for God.

When we heal at my church we are always exhorted not to use petitioning prayers but to command the pain out. Yey God!
